Higher education hosting, end to end
Hosting for universities is structurally different from generic commercial hosting. Procurement is formal and slow, accessibility obligations under the EU Web Accessibility Directive carry consequences that commercial work does not, and faculties frequently run their own Umbraco sites on their own upgrade cycles, so multi-site management is the norm. Student personal data sits under GDPR, and for many institutions the data must not leave the EU at all. We built our practice around those realities.
What we run for institutions as standard: EU data residency with named datacentre locations in Germany, France, Finland or Poland, WCAG 2.2 Level AA supported through editor practice and theme implementation guidance, ISO 27001 certified upstream datacentre partners, GDPR data processing agreements with student data clauses where required, structured backup retention with 30-day point-in-time recovery, multi-site management across faculty and department sites on shared infrastructure with isolated databases, and named technical contacts on every account.
The reviews are about the same things, over and over:
speed of response, depth of expertise, and named engineers who know the platform.
