High availability is not sold separately. It is a tier of GreenStack, our modern Umbraco platform, delivered by two products:
GreenStack Pro holds your site on two replicas in physically separate datacentres, with automatic failover and a 99.9% uptime guarantee. A sensible choice for business-critical platforms that need HA without commissioning bespoke infrastructure.
GreenStack Scale extends that to three or more replicas, dedicated nodes, tailored failover configurations and ten datacentre regions, including several EU member states. Built for high-traffic platforms, regulated sectors, and anything with defined performance, redundancy or compliance obligations.
Both need Umbraco 17 or later: load-balanced backoffice support is a v17 feature and the HA architecture rests on it.
What "high availability" actually means here
Multi-datacentre replicas
Pro holds your site on two or more replicas in physically separate datacentres; Scale raises that to three or more. When one goes offline for a fault or for maintenance, the others carry the traffic and visitors see no difference.
Automatic failover
Failover is automatic: no manual steps, no DNS edits, no waiting for an engineer to respond. Traffic moves to a healthy replica the moment one stops answering.
Zero-downtime deployments
Releases can go out in working hours without downtime. Each replica is updated in turn, leaving the remainder serving live traffic throughout.
99.9% uptime guarantee
The guarantee rests on the multi-datacentre architecture described above. It comes as standard with both Pro and Scale, rather than as a paid tier.
Dedicated nodes available
GreenStack Scale allows replicas to run on dedicated hardware instead of shared infrastructure, in the member state of your choosing. Predictable performance, no noisy neighbours, and configurable resources.
Load-balanced Umbraco 17+ backoffice
Load-balancing the Umbraco backoffice is beyond most generalist hosts. Umbraco 17 added proper support for it, and our platform implements it correctly, so editors keep working smoothly even at peak traffic.

Renewable Energy
Every datacentre we use runs on 100% renewable energy - wind, solar, and hydropower, paired with energy-efficient hardware. We chose our partners specifically because of their renewable commitments, not despite them.
Beyond renewable infrastructure, we also offset carbon for every customer through our partnership with Ecologi. We commit 5% of every hosting fee to tree planting on your behalf - typically four or more trees per customer per month, at no additional cost to you.
