Every datacentre we use is renewable-powered - wind, solar, and hydropower, paired with energy-efficient hardware. We chose our partners specifically because of their renewable commitments, not despite them.
Beyond renewable-powered datacentres, Ecologi carbon offsetting and tree planting cover the rest for every customer. We commit 5% of every hosting fee to tree planting on your behalf - typically four or more trees per customer per month, at no additional cost to you.

Straight answers to what Umbraco 9 site owners usually ask.
Yes. We take Umbraco 9 sites as they are, on .NET 5 under IIS on Windows Server, and there's no upgrade deadline on our side. It's up to you if and when you upgrade.
No. Microsoft's support for .NET 5 finished in May 2022, so there are no more runtime patches. We make up for it at the infrastructure level with isolated application pools, a web application firewall, patched Windows servers and monitoring, and we'll tell you straight when it's time to upgrade.
Umbraco Cloud stops hosting Umbraco 9 on 24 February 2028, when those sites go offline there. Move to us before then and your site keeps running. More on our Umbraco Cloud alternative page.
Nothing. We move the files, database and media, test with you and sort out the DNS change, all at no cost.
Not compared with 7 or 8. Umbraco 9 is already on ASP.NET Core, so moving to Umbraco 10 and then a current long-term support release is an in-place package and .NET upgrade, plus fixing any breaking changes. We can plan the upgrade and do the work, then host it on GreenStack.
