GreenStack Comes Home: UK Region Now Available

UK data residency without compromise. GreenStack now runs on our own London infrastructure, bringing every package tier to organisations that need their hosting to stay on British soil.

When we launched GreenStack in January, the biggest question we got was: “When can I host in the UK?”

The answer is today!

GreenStack's UK region is now live, running on our own infrastructure in London! Every package tier, Core, Pro, and Scale, is available from day one, with the same platform, features, and pricing as our European region.

Why a UK Region Matters

For many organisations, where their data lives isn't a preference, it's a requirement. Public sector bodies, healthcare organisations, financial services, and legal firms often have strict data residency policies that mean their hosting must be physically located in the United Kingdom.

Until now, that meant choosing between GreenStack's platform and your compliance requirements. That trade-off is gone.

With the UK region:

  • Your data stays in the UK. Site files, databases, and backups are all held on UK soil.

  • UK GDPR compliance is simpler. No international data transfer considerations for your hosting layer.

  • Lower latency for UK audiences. Your visitors are served from London, not routed across the Channel.

Same Platform, New Postcode

The UK region runs the exact same GreenStack platform we've been operating in Europe: containerised infrastructure built for Umbraco, with load balancing, zero-downtime deployments, and automatic failover on Pro and above.

Everything you'd expect is included across all tiers:

  • Cloudflare CDN, Web Application Firewall, and DDoS protection

  • Free SSL certificates

  • Unlimited bandwidth

  • Support for the latest Umbraco versions, including load-balanced backoffice on Umbraco 17+

  • Pre-configured Dockerfiles and GitHub Actions workflows, no Docker knowledge required

And it's backed by the same 5-star rated support team of Umbraco Certified Masters and MVP developers, working to the usual resolution times of around 20 minutes.

GreenStack Scale for organisations: With dedicated infrastructure requirements, whether that's compliance, data sovereignty, or corporate policy. Fully customisable with 3+ replicas and Azure SQL with failover as standard.

Built the Hard Way

The UK region is built on our own infrastructure in London, provisioned and integrated into the GreenStack platform by our team, with secure, encrypted connectivity back to our European infrastructure for management and orchestration. Your workloads and data stay in the UK; only our platform tooling spans regions.

It's the same approach we took with the European region: own the stack, understand every layer, and be able to fix anything ourselves. That's what lets us offer 20-minute support resolutions rather than opening tickets with someone else's provider.
