Public sector hosting, end to end
Council and public sector Umbraco hosting has different gravity to commercial hosting. Procurement runs through frameworks (G-Cloud, Crown Commercial Service Digital Outcomes, local government ProContract instances), accessibility statements get checked, data residency is non-negotiable, the security baseline is set by the National Cyber Security Centre rather than your gut feel, and FOI requests can pull infrastructure documentation into the public record. We've been hosting Umbraco for public sector buyers for years and the operational shape of these accounts is genuinely different to commercial work.
What we run for councils as standard: UK-only data residency with named datacentre locations, WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility supported through standard Umbraco editor practice (we'll point your team at the right tooling), Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus aligned infrastructure with documentation, ISO 27001 certified upstream datacentre partners, GDPR-compliant data processing agreements available before contract signature, structured backup retention with 30-day point-in-time recovery, named technical contacts on every account rather than a ticket queue, and the documentation procurement actually needs (penetration test history, BCP/DR statements, security policies, named subprocessors).
Frameworks we're actively working toward and through: G-Cloud (Digital Marketplace listing), Crown Commercial Service Digital Outcomes framework, Constructionline Silver (for accreditation-led tendering on infrastructure builds), and local government ProContract registrations across multiple regional councils. If you're running a procurement that requires us on a specific framework we're not currently on, tell us during scoping. Framework presence is buildable on a defined timeline.
Whether you're a council running Umbraco on a setup that's been quietly aging for five years, a public body planning a v17 upgrade and wanting a procurement-clean specialist for the next contract cycle, or an arms-length body whose procurement requirements are stricter than your current shared host can document, we'll talk it through, scope it, and quote against the actual workload.
The reviews are about the same things, over and over:
speed of response, depth of expertise, and named engineers who know the platform.
What Our Customers Say:
Let's Talk
Tell us which council or public body you're with, what you're currently running, and what framework or procurement constraints we should know about. We'll come back with a scoping conversation. No obligation, no automated funnel.
