Umbraco 7 reached end of life in September 2023, and Umbraco 8 followed in February 2025. For many sites that hasn't mattered much until now. But hosting platforms are now setting hard dates for older versions:
- Umbraco 7: moved onto dedicated hosting from 1 January 2027, with hosting ending on 1 January 2028.
- Umbraco 8: moved onto dedicated hosting from 24 February 2027, with hosting ending on 24 February 2028.
You can view Umbraco Cloud's end of service policy here.
If your site is affected, you have three choices: upgrade now, rebuild, or move to a host that still supports your version while you plan the right path. We can help with all three.
Every Umbraco version, still supported
Our legacy hosting supports Umbraco 4 to 12, including every .NET Framework version from 2.0 to 4.8. There's no end-of-service date on your version, and you won't be forced onto a pricier plan because your site is older.
Specialist Windows hosting. Your site runs on Windows Server with IIS, managed through SolidCP. Deploy with Web Deploy, FTP or your existing CI/CD pipeline.
Security as standard. Every package includes Cloudflare WAF, CDN and SSL. Nightly backups go to both Azure and Google Cloud.
Hosted where you need it. Choose the UK, US or Germany.
Support from people who know old Umbraco. Every ticket is handled by an Umbraco Certified Master. We've been hosting Umbraco since version 4. A v7 site isn't a mystery to us, and nobody will tell you to upgrade before they'll help.
Migration included. We move your site, database and DNS for you, timed around your schedule.
A bridge, not a dead end
