GreenStack now works with your AI assistant

More Umbraco developers now build with an AI assistant at their side. From today, that assistant knows GreenStack as well as we do. We've released one skill and two MCP servers, all free in our plugin marketplace on GitHub.

What's included

A setup skill that gets it right first time. The GreenStack setup skill configures Umbraco 13 or 17 for GreenStack, single-instance or load-balanced. It handles forwarded headers, HTTPS and health checks, Data Protection keys, the Dockerfile and CI pipeline for any Git provider or registry, and the SignalR backplane for a load-balanced backoffice. It also knows what to leave alone, like the connection strings and application URL GreenStack injects for you.

Your hosting, managed by chat. The UmbPanel MCP server lets your assistant work in UmbPanel as you. It can check service status, set your registry and image, scale replicas, trigger deploys and manage your Cloudflare DNS. Ask it to deploy the latest image and tell you when the site is healthy, and it will.

Hosting priced in a conversation. The UmbHost MCP server lists our live Umbraco plans and prices a complete order, with add-ons, domains and monthly or annual billing in four currencies. It checks domain availability and starts a checkout for you to complete. The assistant never takes payment.

Safe by design. Your assistant only ever has the access you already have in UmbPanel, with no admin or back-office access. Anything destructive, billable or that provisions something new is previewed and confirmed with you first. Sign-in uses standard OAuth with PKCE, and you can revoke connected sessions from your account at any time.

Works with the tools you use. Claude Code is fully supported today. The setup skill also runs in OpenAI Codex and GitHub Copilot CLI, and our MCP servers are listed in the official MCP Registry for VS Code and Codex.

In Claude Code, add our marketplace and install the plugins you want:

The first time your assistant uses UmbPanel, it opens your browser so you can sign in as normal.
