Every datacentre we use is renewable-powered - wind, solar, and hydropower, paired with energy-efficient hardware. We chose our partners specifically because of their renewable commitments, not despite them.
Beyond renewable-powered datacentres, Ecologi carbon offsetting and tree planting cover the rest for every customer. We commit 5% of every hosting fee to tree planting on your behalf - typically four or more trees per customer per month, at no additional cost to you.

What teams running Umbraco 7 ask us most often.
Yes. We run Umbraco 7 as-is on .NET Framework and IIS, and we never set an upgrade deadline. When you upgrade, if ever, is your call.
Umbraco Cloud is moving Umbraco 7 projects to dedicated hosting on January 1, 2027, and ending hosting for them on January 1, 2028, at which point those sites stop working there. Moving to UmbHost before then keeps your site online. Our Umbraco Cloud alternative page covers the details.
Umbraco released its last Umbraco 7 update on September 30, 2023, so the CMS no longer gets security patches. We offset that with isolated application pools, a web application firewall, patched Windows servers, and active monitoring, and we'll be upfront when upgrading is the smarter move.

There's no in-place upgrade from Umbraco 7 to a current version. Content goes to Umbraco 8 first, then onto a modern .NET release. Our team can scope and run the upgrade, and we can host the finished site on GreenStack.
