Microsoft's product. Our service.
Microsoft 365 is what it is - if you're reading this page, you probably already know whether it's the right fit for your team. We won't recap the product. What we'll cover is what changes when you buy it through UmbHost.
We're an authorised reseller, not a markup intermediary. What you get in addition is the setup work - DNS records on the domain we already host for you, migration from on-premise Exchange or another provider, license assignment, group configuration, and crucially, the security baseline. Most self-onboarded 365 tenants don't have Conditional Access enabled, don't enforce MFA properly, and have legacy authentication open. We close that out from day one.
When something goes wrong with email, you call us. We deal with Microsoft on your behalf rather than handing you a support number and a case ID. For customers already running on our hosting (or our Azure Managed Service), this is the consolidation play - one supplier, one invoice, one team.

Leverage the power of Microsoft to build a integrated team
Exchange Online with your domain
Business email at your company domain through Outlook desktop, web and mobile. 50GB-100GB mailboxes depending on tier, plus shared mailboxes and distribution groups.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote
Full Office desktop apps on Business Standard and above, plus the web versions across all tiers. Real-time co-authoring on documents stored in OneDrive or SharePoint.
Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint
Microsoft Teams for chat, meetings and calls. OneDrive for personal storage (1TB per user). SharePoint for team sites and document libraries.
Migration from your current provider
We handle the migration end to end - on-premise Exchange, another 365 tenant, Google Workspace, or generic IMAP. Mail, calendar and contacts, with no message loss.
Security baseline configured
Conditional Access, MFA enforcement, legacy authentication blocked, secure score reviewed. The things most self-onboarders never get to. Standard on every tenant we set up.
Single support team
When email breaks, you raise a ticket with us. We deal with Microsoft on your behalf rather than handing you a support number. The same support team that handles your hosting handles your email.

Microsoft 365 is sold as licence bundles by tier - Business Basic, Standard, Premium, Apps for Business, and the Enterprise E-tiers. Different users can be on different tiers within the same tenant, but you can't pick individual apps within a tier.
Yes. Distribution groups, Microsoft 365 Groups, and moderated lists are all available. We can configure these as part of setup or you can manage them yourself from the admin console afterwards.
Yes. Shared mailboxes (for sales@, support@, info@ and so on) don't require a licence in Microsoft 365 - they're included at no extra cost up to 50GB. We'll set these up during onboarding.
Outlook desktop and web work natively. Exchange Online also supports IMAP, POP3 and Exchange ActiveSync, so Apple Mail, mobile Mail, Thunderbird and most modern clients connect without issues.
Microsoft 365 has a 99.9% financially-backed uptime SLA. In the unusual event of an outage, you raise the ticket with us and we deal with Microsoft directly. We track 365 status independently and proactively notify customers when there's a known issue affecting them.
